DHARBAI
While performing the vedic rituals we should wear a ring made of this Dharbai. While performing the poojas to the Dieties & on the good occasions like marriage, house weaning ceremonies we have to wear the ring made with two or five dharbas, while performing ceremonies to our ansectors we have to wear
the ring made with three darbas & while performing rituals to the dead bodies we have to wear the ring made with one dharbai. The ring made with the dharbai is called as "PAVITHRAM" which means the purest of the purest. The Vedas and Aagamas say about
the length of the dharbai for making the ring & the KOORCHAM which is put inside the KALASAM (pot filled with holy water) as 16 inches. The dharbai tied in the copper kalasam of the Temple Gopuram has the best effect of conducting the electricity caused by the THUNDER & LIGHTINING. According to the Hindu mythology the left hand is known as the negative and the right hand is known as the positive. Keeping the left hand below the right hand on the right thigh while doing the SANKALPAM (taking oath to perform the ritual) gives a very good concentration power & to gain the magnetic energy from the universe.
