There are nine gems which are called as NAVARATHNAMS namely Ruby, Pearl, Coral, Sapphire, Pushparagam, Diamonds,
Blue stone, Vaidooryam, Cat's eye. By wearing the malaas we
can have a good control over the nine planets and we can easily
over come the evil effects of the foresaid nine planets.
